CLASSROOM RULES AND EXPECTATIONS
There are only three rules in my class:
Show RESPECT
Make good choices
Solve the problem
Student Expectations: Students will come to class prepared on a daily basis; this includes having all necessary materials in order to achieve maximum learning. Students will be respectful to everyone in class. Students will not be disruptive during learning time and will not cause unnecessary distractions.
Gum/Drink Policy: Students will NOT be allowed to chew gum in the classroom. Water bottles (with water only) will be allowed.
Materials
Ear buds
Pencils (no ink pens unless noted)
Three-ring binder (for storing notes and assignments)
Student note/workbooks
Absence Policy: Students will be allowed to complete missing assignments--up to 7 school days later, for full credit; after the 7th day, students will receive partial credit. Each student is responsible for asking for any missing assignments and completing them during his/her own time (learning time will not be used to make up any missing assignments).
Homework Policy: Students will have the allotted time to complete a homework assignment for full credit. Any work turned in after the half credit deadline will receive one (1) point. EVERY homework assignment MUST be completed and turned in.
Honesty Policy: Students will complete their own work at all times. Any student found cheating or being dishonest will be directed to meet with the school administrators and receive a zero on the assignment.
Restroom Policy: The use of the restroom is on a “need to go” basis.
Tardy Policy: Students are considered tardy if they log on two or more minutes after the start time. If students log in 12 minutes after the scheduled start time, they will be marked absent.
Discipline Policy: for our classroom: 1st time-Warning, 2nd time - parent contact, 3rd time-parent contact with possible referral, 4th time-referral, parent contact, and meeting with principal.
Cell Phone Policy: Cell phones will not be allowed, they must remain put away at all times.
Dress Code: Students will follow the LMS dress code at all times.
Grading Policy: Students will be graded on various assignments ranging from homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and class participation. Completion of ALL assignments is crucial for student success. Grades are earned, not given.
Grading Scale:
A+=98%-100% A=93%-97% A-=90%-92%
B+88%-89% B=83%-87% B-=80%-82%
C+=78%-79% C=73%-77% C-=70%-72%
D+=68%-69% D=63%-67% D-=58%-62%
F=0%-57%
